Live music at The Square: The Fringe at Tramlines

1pm to 2.30pm - Phil Johnson

One of the UK's most in-demand session drummers steps into the limelight to showcase his vocal and keyboard skills. With a band of Sheffield's finest, Phil always entertains with a mix of Jazz standards, gutsy blues, and pop classics.

3pm to 4.30pm - Julian Jones

A member of legendary Sheffield bands such as the Acoustic Angels and the Lazy Dollies, Julian is also a great songwriter and singer/guitarist in his own right. With country inspired songs and a rock and roll energy, Julian is a true musical talent who shines in any setting.

5pm to 6.30pm - Dizzy Club.

Live music at The Square: Fringe at Tramlines

Requiring no introduction, Sheffield's King of Swing, Mr John Naylor returns to The Square with The Dizzy Club and his band of first class musicians. Featuring Mike Fleming on double bass, Patrick Walker on violin and lead guitar, and Caroline Broaden on drums, the Dizzies upbeat jazz and swing will be pulling the dancers onto the terraces.

7pm to 8.30pm - Papa Soul

Sheffield's very own funk/soul sisters and brothers are the ultimate crowd pleasers, with their unique take on classic songs from timeless labels such as Stax, Chess, Motown & Atlantic. Throw in some reconstructed contemporary funk and disco grooves, plus the raw talent and energy that this band has in abundance...and you have yourself one hell of a party! Visitors won't stay sat down for long

8.30pm to 10pm (and between bands) - DJ Algie

Possibly the first DJ to hold a residency at Leopold Square some 13 years ago, DJ Algie returns for an evening of soul, R&B and Motown.
