Free live music continues in July and, in addition to taking place on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, we will also be welcoming a performer every Friday evening.
Playing songs from Gershwin to Gaga, the extremely quirky Grumpah return on Saturday 1st July, before Svarc Hanley Longhawn take visitors on a jazz and funk journey on Sunday 2nd.
Our first summer 2023 Friday evening performer, the Julian Jones Duo, will be getting you ready for the weekend on 7th July. One of Sheffield's longest running groove bands – Montuno – take over Leopold Square on Saturday 8th July, and Cooking Jack Fats & the Chimney Stacks will be playing barnstorming rhythm and blues and rock'n'roll on Sunday 7th.
The summer of free live music continues the following weekend when the soulful Tessa Smith will be entertaining visitors on the evening of Friday 14th July. Salsa de Cuba brings high-energy and passion on the Saturday, and Leopold Square favourite Julian Jones closes the weekend on Sunday 16th July.
Over the weekend of 21st to 23rd July, Leopold Square becomes an official The Fringe at Tramlines stage, and you can find out more about our line-up here.
The ever-amazing Phil Johnson takes to the terrace on Friday 28th July with a mix of Jazz standards, gutsy blues, and pop classics, before Emily West's effervescent energy and beautiful soulful voice wow the audience on Saturday 29th. Carioca Soul, a seven-piece band that performs an eclectic mix of Bossa Nova/Samba and contemporary Brazilian music, will definitely get visitors dancing when they bring the July live music to a close on Sunday 30th July.
All live music takes place in Leopold Square between 5pm and 7pm on Friday evenings, and 2pm and 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. More information about all performers can be found on our event pages.
